    What makes STRIKERICE suits float?

Our Sureflote flotation system, which is made from expanded low density polyethylene foam, traps air in closed cells. This is constructed into multi-layer membranes to create internal air pockets for added buoyancy. The SUREFLOTE membrane is moisture resistant and provides superior user mobility and added protection in the extreme cold. The combined jacket and bib with SUREFLOTE provides flotation assistance for up to two hours for an average person. You can float with just the bib or jacket and you will not float upside down while wearing just the bib.

Are STRIKERICE suits Coast Guard approved?

No, they are not a PFD. The suits are designed to aid in keeping you afloat.

What is the Infinite-Play Cuff and the Triple-Play Cuff and how do you use it?

The Infinite-Play Cuff is our proprietary adjustable cuff that allows you to adjust the length of the inseam up to 6 inches. The Triple-Play Cuff is the adjustable inseam for our older models/ all raingear and allows adjustment to 3 and 6 inches.

     ADJUSTABLE CUFF INSTRUCTION

    1. Lay bibs on flat surface such as a table.
    2. Unzip legs all the way and open lower leg.
    3. Undo Velcro on gaiter fabric and flip over the gaiter fabric up onto the leg lining.
    4. Unfold the very bottom hem (1/2” seam secured by Velcro) across the cuff by sliding your thumb through the two halves of Velcro.
    5. You will want to “hide” either one or two of the connecting tabs with snaps, depending on how much you shorten the cuff. Just snap the tab to the inside lining so it stays inside because it is not needed any more.
    6. Now you can fold the cuff up to a higher Velcro setting, as much as 6 inches higher than before. The maximum change is set so that the cuff hem is the same length as the leg zipper storm flap (as shown in image above)
    7. Reconnect the Velcro on the bottom cuff hem to the higher Velcro strip(s). Some bib styles have vertical strips and others have horizontal zips.
    8. Make a crease on the new bottom hem by pressing flat. Do NOT use an iron because this will burn the fabric.
    9. Note that the gaiter may be longer than the cuff. Repeat for the other side.

What if I become too hot or start sweating?

The underarm zip vents on the jacket and the full-length 3-way zippers on the bib legs will provide immediate relief without removing the garments. The jacket and bibs also breath naturally due to the waterproof/windproof/breathable shell fabric.

    What size should I order?

You can find your size by referring to our size chart.  Measure your waist at the largest dimension, even if it is at the belly button. This may or may not be your pants size. The Climate jacket is tapered so it can me more comfortable when worn without the softshell lining. Consider one size larger Climate jacket for “experienced bellies”.

Consumer Product Warranty- What Is Covered

The Striker Brands product warranty covers defects in manufacturing or workmanship including but not limited to: seam failures; missing/defective snaps, zippers, etc; defective fabrication; separations, etc for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Striker Brands will repair or replace the product at its sole discretion. The warranty does not cover burns, tears, abrasions, stains, fading or normal wear and tear.

    Product Warranty Return Procedure

It’s Simple – We Take Care of It! Contact Us Directly- Here is how it works:

    1. Call or email us. USE THE CONTACT INQUIRY FORM TO EXPEDITE CLAIMS. Photos can be attached.
    2. Approved claims are issued a “Return Authorization” number (RA number) for tracking purposes.
    3. Customer ships us the defective item indicating RA number on carton (customer pays shipping).
    4. Striker Brands repairs or replaces the item based at its discretion.
    5. Striker Brands returns the repaired/replaced product to the customer (we pay return shipping).

We may make other arrangements or work out alternative remedies depending on the nature of the problem or if shipping is not practical. Unfortunately, all warranty product shipments sent without an RA number marked on the outside of the carton will be returned to the sender. Our goal is to remove the hassle and expense of warranty claims from the dealer while satisfying the needs of the customer in a timely manner.

*Note: INQUIRY FORM IS THE FASTEST WAY TO CONTACT US: You can find the form at www.strikerbrands.com by clicking on the ‘Contact Us’ link.

What should I wear underneath my Striker suit?

Anything but Cotton. Merino wool and polypropylene are best suited for using as under layers. We also sell layering products such as the Shak Shirt/Pants and the Polar Base Shirt/Pants. These items work perfectly as layers with your other striker gear.

    Can I wash/dry my suit?

Yes, machine wash in cold water using a mild detergent and finish by hang drying. Never use heat to dry the garment.

Can I repair my torn or burned shell fabric?

In most cases, yes. For small tears, you can insert a backing patch behind the damaged area and use adhesive such as silicone to bond the backing to the torn area. For larger tears or burned areas, you will also have to sew the outer shell to the back-patch material. This may be difficult depending on the location and nature of the damaged area. For simple tears and/or burn holes ect, we sell patch kits with replacement fabric, adhesive and other repair materials. Use the Inquiry Form on www.strikerbrands.com in the ‘Contact Us’ link or call us.

Can I float with just the bib or just the jacket?

Yes. You can float with just one of the suit pieces, however the Jacket and Bib system together will work the best. You will float better with just the bib because it has more Sureflote material throughout than the jacket.

*Note: This does differ from person to person as everybody has different body densities. Our flotation system is labeled as flotation assist and is not a PFD.
